Blank Canvas are proud to announce the formation of Australia’s very first Architectural Visualisation conference – Unimagined.
Inspired by the success of similar conferences in Europe, we decided it was time to bring such an event to the shores of Australia. To the backdrop of the stunning Sydney Harbour Bridge, Unimagined sets out to galvanise Australia’s Architectural Visualisation community and build a stronger future together.
Unimagined will focus on unifying the unbuilt visualisation industry, otherwise known as Architectural Visualisation (Archviz as it is colloquially known). This niche within the real estate industry draws audiences from Architecture, Property Development and Real Estate Marketing – the established industries that cross over for the purpose of property marketing.
At present, Australia’s real estate visualisation community is thriving and today supports more than 80 studios, hundreds of creative artists, producers and virtual reality designers. It is home to some of the world’s largest studios and produces award-winning work for clients around the world.
However, until now, this isolated community has lacked the industry acknowledgement and international recognition it deserves.
The two-day conference is set to take place during the first week of February 2019 at the stunning harbourside Doltone House. We have already garnered huge support from an impressive lineup of international and local presenters including, James Burrell – Art Director at Tomorrow and Former MIR Artist, Phil Horton & Mark Parsons of Leading Studio, MR.P Studios, Andrew Hoyne, founder of Hoyne, Costa and Veronica, Co-Founders at Gabriel Saunders and Tim Johnson, Technical Director of Aucklands, Buildmedia and with many more to be announced.

Their combined experience consists of both practical and theoretical sides to the industry including curating exhibitions, high-end residential and commercial design and lecturing at universities.
The past 12 months, the region has really appeared on the map, with larger brands recognising the importance of our industry and making the effort to visit the country.
